Is HealTripChina a hospital or medical provider?
No. HealTripChina is not a hospital and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Medical decisions must be made directly with qualified doctors and licensed medical institutions.
How do I begin planning medical treatment in China?
Browse available programs, compare providers and submit an inquiry to the provider you prefer. Include your treatment needs, preferred destination, travel timeframe and available medical records. The provider can then prepare a preliminary proposal.
Does submitting an inquiry guarantee hospital admission?
No. An inquiry is only a request for information. Hospital admission, specialist appointments and treatment eligibility depend on medical record review, hospital capacity and confirmation by the receiving medical institution.
What medical documents should I prepare?
Depending on your condition, you may need a diagnosis summary, pathology reports, recent laboratory results, CT/MRI/PET-CT reports and DICOM files, previous treatment records, current medications and information about allergies or other illnesses. The selected provider or hospital may request additional documents.
Can I receive a final treatment plan or price before travelling?
A provider may offer a preliminary plan and estimated cost after reviewing your records. Final treatment and pricing may change after an in-person examination, pathology review or additional testing in China. Ask the provider to identify what is included, excluded and refundable.
Are the providers listed on the platform part of HealTripChina?
Providers are independent businesses or organizations unless a listing expressly states otherwise. Review each provider's profile, service scope, terms, cancellation policy and contact details before making a decision or payment.
Can providers arrange appointments, translation and accommodation?
Some programs may include hospital coordination, medical interpretation, airport pickup, local transportation and accommodation assistance. Services vary by provider, so check the listing and written proposal carefully.
Do I need a visa to travel to China for treatment?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality, length of stay and current Chinese entry rules. The visa information shown on the website is for general reference only. Confirm the latest requirements with the Chinese embassy, consulate or official immigration authority before booking travel.
Does international health insurance cover treatment in China?
Coverage depends on your insurer and policy. Contact your insurer before travel and obtain written confirmation of covered hospitals, pre-authorization requirements, reimbursement documents and exclusions. Many international patients may be required to pay medical costs in advance.
What do the hospital specialty rankings mean?
The rankings are provided for informational comparison only. They do not constitute an endorsement, medical recommendation or guarantee that a hospital accepts international patients or offers a particular treatment. Always confirm availability directly with the hospital or provider.
How is my medical information handled?
Only submit information needed for your inquiry and review the platform's Privacy Policy before uploading sensitive records. Ask who will receive your documents and how they will be stored. Do not send medical records through an unverified personal account.
What should I do in a medical emergency?
HealTripChina is not an emergency service. If you are in China and need urgent medical assistance, call 120 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are outside China, contact your local emergency services.
How can a China-based provider publish a program?
Create an account, complete your business profile and submit a listing with accurate services, destinations, inclusions, limitations and contact details. Do not make unverified medical claims or guarantee treatment results.
