A difficult respiratory condition
According to Hainan media, the child had severe breathing difficulties and depended on oxygen. He was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease together with idiopathic pulmonary hypertension.
International care involves the whole family
Because the patient was an infant travelling with family members, the hospital also had to consider communication, accommodation and dietary differences. The report noted that staff adapted meals with the family’s Mongolian habits in mind.
Follow-up did not end at discharge
Before the family returned home, the hospital prepared medication for the child’s continued recovery and planned online follow-up and remote consultation if needed.
